we love our stay at De’s homestay! a beautiful oasis away from the crazy Sapa town. We highly recommend the banana pancakes for breakfast and a family dinner experience. De also guided us on a day hike, such an amazing way to see his country! A wholesome, basic stay that we will come back to next time!

10/10 experience. Room was super clean and comfy. Location of the place is between local villages which can and should be explored during your stay. Host is super friendly and helpful, also will guide you for trekking, otherwise will recommend the paths to explore by your end. Highly recommend!!

This homestay is great. The bungalow rooms were big and cleaned with comfy beds. The pancakes for breakfast are really good and the owners are very helpful. It is away from any town which means it’s quiet and peaceful.

De was a wonderful host, he welcomed us into his home to enjoy a lovely evening of eating and drinking with his family. The cabin with mountain view was very clean and comfortable, and De prepared breakfast and dinner for us before and after our hikes. Would really recommend this stay for anyone looking for an authentic experience, as it's great value for money and one of the best nights I spent in Vietnam. Thank you De!

We had a lovely stay that included delicious home cooked meals (they accommodated one vegan), a comfortable bungalow room with a private bathroom, and a full day trek (in less tourist filled areas). We learned so much about the black Hmong people! The place is rustic but has all the comforts needed (more than we expected). Note, as of April 2024 there is construction on the road down to Cat Cat village and taxis can't get you all the way there. You can get a ride until the road closure and then call the host for them to pick you up on motor bikes or walk if you don't have large luggage. It was not a big deal for us, we walked on the way in and took a ride up from the host when we left.

Highly recommended!! The hosts De and his wife were so kind and helpful. The food was spectacularly delicious!! Clean room and toilet, we stayed in the main house in a double room with shared bathroom. Great homestay with a beautiful family, we got to see how they cooked in their kitchen. Basic amenities which is what we were looking for. The road is cut-off to cars due to construction, so better to go by motorbike, a bit far by foot. It's quiet and very green, away from the noisy town. Thanks for the great experience!

After having come to Sa Pa and Cat Cat Village, we were disappointed to find it so commercialised and touristy. So, we booked this homestay which was a little out of the way, and I haven’t even slept a single night here yet and I can say with absolute confidence that this homestay is perfect. If you are looking for the real Vietnam then look no further. There are plenty of very authentic villages and beautiful rice fields just a little further down the road from cat cat village. Plenty of hiking to do around here, and the family that runs this homestay are the nicest people that we have met in an entire month in Vietnam. Highly recommend, the room is clean and comfy, they have really put a lot of effort into making this place inviting and have absolutely succeeded.

The stay at ChienDe Homestay was perfect! The room was cozy, spacious and clean and so was the private bathroom. The staff was very, very kind and cooked delicious foods (even fresh veggie springrolls when I told them that I don‘t eat meat/fish). I would definetely recommend staying there! Thanks again for everything 🥳
