Everything was really nice, the bungalow is really cozy. Has a heater which is really helpful for the cold days and also has a very nice view. The owner is super friendly

Gio Homestay was a dream stay! The rooms were super cozy and surrounded by beautiful nature. Ms. Ann Lee, the manager, was fantastic — kind, attentive and very professional. She made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend Gio to anyone visiting the area!

Very good service from Mr.Phong. You can keep luggage here even before and after checkin/checkout. Room is spacious and very convinient location.

Great view, peaceful vibes – but a few things to improve I stayed at Gió Homestay & Bungalow and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The bungalow-style retreat is very close to nature, and the view overlooking the whole town of Sapa is absolutely stunning. The price was very affordable – 280,000 VND per night including taxes and fees, which makes it a great value for the experience. However, there were a few downsides: Late check-in: Although the scheduled time was 4:30 PM, I still had to wait upon arrival. Most hotels allow check-in by 2 PM, so this could be improved. The curtains were too thin, lacking privacy – an extra layer would help. Bathroom amenities like shampoo and shower gel were in single-use packets, which felt inconvenient. It would be better to offer proper bottles. Despite these, it’s still a lovely place to stay for anyone wanting to relax and connect with nature.

This review isn't meant to be mean, but you should lower your expectations. It's a homestay, not a hotel. The rooms aren't entirely clean. The bathroom and toilet weren't nice either. The walls are thin, and you can hear a lot from the surrounding area. Because the walls aren't airtight, insects get into the rooms. The view is nice, but it's more for people who like to live close to nature. It wasn't that great for us. Take this as constructive criticism. Try to get better.

Scammers 👺👺👺! They totally scammed us by showing one thing on the booking.com app and then dumping us into a completely different place — a small, dingy little room that smelled awful and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Honestly, it felt more haunted than hospitable. Service? What service? There’s supposedly one staff member, but they’re mostly missing in action. Sure, the city view was okay… if you enjoy staring out the window while wondering why you wasted your money. The whole area was dirty, unkempt, and downright creepy at night. After arguing about the room, the manager tried to “compensate” us with a free breakfast — a sad scoop of sticky rice and some coffee. Spoiler alert: no choices, no variety, just disappointment on a plate. They also threw us a 500k refund, but when you’ve paid 2.5 mil for two nights in a place worth maybe 1.2 mil (and normally just 500k a night), that “refund” is nothing but a joke. ⚠️ Warning for future guests: Do NOT pay a single đồng before you see the room and check the services. Once they’ve got your money, you’ll be stuck — unless you enjoy overpaying for a haunted house experience with complimentary rice sadness in the morning.
