  Mama Chi homestay was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. Mama chi was a brilliant and welcoming host , allowing us to stay with her and her beautiful and friendly family. We learnt so much about Hmong culture and her + her family’s way of life. We ate good food and had an amazing time trekking through Sa Pa while also having lots of fun in the evenings. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone who wishes to experience authentic Hmong culture, enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, and to meet Mama chi because she is a remarkable woman who we are grateful to get know!   I loved my stay with mama Chi. The trekking was amazing, I did two days and we did two different routes from sapa to her house, both very different and super fun with beautiful views. I have learned so much about the culture and Mama Chi answered so so many questions. Her house is beautiful and the dinner was so delicious. I felt very welcomed by everyone in her family from the first second. Her husband gave me a ride to sapa three times. If you’re in sapa, do yourself a favour and stay with Mama Chi, it’s been one of the best experiences, I can’t recommend it enough.

  Mama Chi was such an amazing hostess for my boyfriend and I. Her and her husband came to Sapa town to collect our luggage and then we did a 5 hour trek through the breath taking mountains in Sapa and saw many villages. We had lunch in a lovely restaurant before continuing our trek towards Mama Chi’s village where we met her beautiful family. She cooked us a lovely evening meal and we relaxed in her hammocks enjoying the sunset views. We had a gorgeous private room in her home and woke up to a lovely breakfast before trekking again to a local waterfall for a well needed swim. Mama Chi and her family went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Her husband even brought our laundry into the town for us and collected it when it was ready and Mama Chi sewed my bag for me that had torn while travelling. We had such a wholesome, beautiful, eye opening experience with Mama Chi. She completely spoiled us and we are so grateful. Can’t wait to visit again soon 🫶

  After being recommended mama chi by my sister, my 3 other friends decided to book a 2 day, 1 night trekking tour with mama chi. It is the best thing I’ve done so far in Vietnam. Mama chi organised us to have our bags picked up from sapa town before the treck and she was so flexible especially when we had unpredictable weather at the start. She was so lovely and kind and telling us all about her culture, experiences and history of sapa and her village. It was a truly mesmerising experience. The views were beautiful and most beautiful of all was her family. Once we got to her amazing house in a small village, we played football with her sons and all cooked a meal together. She was such a wonderful Host and we celebrated with some happy water. The beds were super comfortable and mama chi was so kind and generous and made us a delicious breakfast the next day. Before another fun day of hiking. Was such a beautiful and amazing experience. I would 100% do it again and recommend anyone in Vietnam that this a must experience. Mama chi story is amazing and on that more should learn about. Thank you Mama Chi Xan

  Had the most amazing time with Mama Chi. She was the best host and it was so interesting to learn about her culture and heritage. Her family is so sweet and welcoming. She is the best trekking guide and answered all our questions along the way! Would love to come again, recommend 11/10 💗💗💗💗

  You must come and stay here with mama chi chi for the most authentic and welcoming stay with a local h’mong family. She will look after you like her own family and cook a delicious dinner and breakfast for you. We booked as a group to do a treking tour after the ha gaing loop and it was a very enjoyable experience. Mama chi let us dress up in the traditional clothing and told us about the different h’mong tribes and cultures. Her cooking is delicious, and her two young boys joined for dinner too.

  We spent two nights with Mama Chi and her family and had the best time! One the first day we went trekking with her sister and on the second day we requested a one day hike up to Fansipan which was led by her husband! He was super friendly and put up with me who was very tired on the way down! All meals were delicious and mama Chi is the best host- I will be back again for sure and have been recommending her to any friends, you won’t regret it!

  I had the best 3 day, 2 night stay with Mama Chi and her family in her home. I was treated to wonderful trekking, great food, football with her two boys and plenty of happy water! Her whole family was incredibly welcoming and kind. She has great English (self taught) and offers great explanations about her culture. Escape the crowds of Sapa and experience authentic Hmong life with Mama Chi. Thank you again for a lovely stay
