I did the three-day trek with Sapa Sisters and had a wonderful experience. Even before my departure, they supported me with great organization and kindness, answering all my questions and providing all the information I needed to prepare properly. During the trek I was very lucky and ended up having a guide all to myself. My guide, Su Ly, was absolutely amazing. She accompanied me with patience, warmth, and kindness, helping me discover the different villages, traditions, and customs of the area. On the first night, I stayed at her home, which has a stunning view of the rice terraces—one I will never forget in my life. Su Ly took excellent care of me and made sure I had everything I needed at all times. I highly recommend choosing Sapa Sisters for your trek: it’s a meaningful project that truly deserves support.

Booked a one day trek and had an amazing experience. My guide (Sy) was an absolute gem of a human - funny, caring, and so generous with both her knowledge and ensuring I had everything I needed for a safe and fun trek. The lunch was delicious (got the steamed rice platter which could have fed 2 people) and leaned a lot about the local culture and way of life.

Wonderful experience. It was really intriguing to immerse ourselves in the local community and the Hmong culture. We did a 3 day trekking in the mountains guided by our lovely guide Cho. She was amazing, showed her culture, gave answer to all our questions we had, invited us for lunch in her family home which was a unique experience. Everything was very well organised, the transport from Cao Lai to Sa pa. After the night train we could have a shower at the sapasisters office and had a lovely breakfast before our hiking day began. The homestay we stayed at was very good, comfortable beds, shower and lovely food! Highly recommend this organisation.

In June, my friend and I completed a 3 Day 2 Night Trek with Lan. Lan was such an amazing guide and made sure we had the best experience. The tour was very culturally rich and informative. This trek was my favourite activity I did while spending three weeks travelling throughout Vietnam. We were also blown away by the homestays and the food we tried along our trek. Overall I would recommend this experience to everyone and I hope to do it again one day. Thank you Lan.

Superb, and very memorable. A beautiful and peaceful adventure. This is ethical tourism too, by supporting local women and their families -so worth every cent 🙂 x You will never forget such a great experience with the Sapa Sisters ! It has been on my bucket list for awhile. I chose 2D/1N. My only regret - I should have chosen longer. The trek was fantastic and tailor made to suit me. The cultural knowledge and tribal wisdom was beyond what I expected to learn, the scenery was stunning, the interesting local people we met on the way, the homestay was soooo comfortable and welcoming, the lunch with the local family was delicious , but best of all it was Chai "my Sapa sister" with her support, kindness, humour and fun and her local knowledge of her country that we trekked. Teaching me about the wild plants for food & medicines and the wildlife, agriculture and tribal traditions, that made it one of the best experiences in my 45 years of travelling. I will be back for more ! Such a rich adventure . Thankyou 💖

Absolutely exceptional! Do not hesitate booking. We did a 2D1N trek, our guide (Cho) was incredible and great to talk to. We ate lunch with a local Hmong family and stayed the night in an amazing homestay. It was the hostesses (of the homestay) birthday, in the night her family threw her a surprise party and they insisted we join them for cake and celebratory wine:))) The food was incredible and everyone was extremely kind. I got sick (no ones fault but mine) on the second day and our guide followed me and my friend to the hospital so she could help translate what I was feeling to the local doctors. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would do it over and over and over again!! I really recommend stocking up on cash, the local villagers usually have no other way of making money aside from tourist purchases and if you want to get yourself some handcrafted goods along the way and tip your guide remember to get some.

We had the most wonderful experience on a 1 day trek with Sapa Sisters - our guide Lang picked us up from our homestay and walked us out of the city down through bamboo wooded areas into the expanse of the rice paddies. She had given us the choice of a trek through the rice paddies and valley or up over the mountains but advised we take the lower option because we weren’t likely to get the best visibility up high. We were also accompanied out of the city by some local ladies who were a huge help in helping us down the steeper parts of the trek and added a fun flare to the first half of the day. We saw a variety of stunning landscapes and stopped for a tasty meal in Lao Chai. Lang explained to us some of the customs of the villages in this area and we continued on to finish our trek in Ta Van where we were picked up by car and returned to our homestay. On the whole this day was really special to us and we really enjoyed and appreciated Lang’s company and knowledge along the way! Thank you Sapa Sisters for our great experience!

If you actually want to get out of the tour bus and share an authentic experience with people who live here, I could not recommend Sapa Sisters more highly. Working for better pay with a professional organization with clear communication, my guide (Little Zo) was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share as much or as little as I cared to know. And I wanted to know all about what I was seeing, not just photo ops. Her English was great, learning only by interacting with tourists for many years. An amazing person, and a credit to her Black H’mong people. May the indigo stay with me for a long, long time!
