  I highly recommend H'Mong Cat Cat Homestay if you're planning to stay in Sapa, Vietnam. We stayed here from May 28-31, 2026, and had a great experience. The place is clean, peaceful, and has beautiful mountain views that really let you enjoy the charm of Sapa. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. One of the highlights was their lovely dog, who seems to welcome every guest personally. He would often greet us and even walk with us whenever we headed to our room. Such a sweet and memorable part of the experience. The location is also perfect for exploring Cat Cat Village and the nearby waterfall. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay, and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers visiting Sapa.

  Sincerely the best place i've stayed in in Vietnam. We booked the room with balcony and the view was so astonishing we couldn't leave the room. The owner is so sweet and kind. Very close from Cat Cat Village and surroundings if you want to enjoy the culture and the rice fields.

  My wife and I recently stayed at Hmong Cat Cat Homestay and it turned out to be one of the most memorable and charming experiences of our trip to Sa Pa. From the moment we arrived, the place felt peaceful and welcoming. The homestay is surrounded by beautiful mountain views and lush greenery, which immediately gives you a sense of calm. As a couple, we really appreciated how quiet and scenic the environment was. It almost felt like we had escaped into a cozy mountain retreat. The room itself was beautifully designed with wood, giving it a warm cabin in the woods atmosphere. The wooden interiors made the space feel rustic, cozy, and very romantic, which was perfect for a couple’s stay. Waking up to the cool mountain air and scenic views from our room was truly special. The room also had a portable heater which kept us comfortably warm during the chilly Sa Pa evenings. One small tip for future guests is regarding the hot water. You need to switch on the water heater around 30 minutes before taking a shower so that the water gets properly heated. Once we figured that out, it worked perfectly and we had no issues. The property itself feels like a lovely little community tucked away from the busy town. One of our favorite spots was the beautiful koi fish pond, which adds a calming and relaxing touch to the place. It’s a great spot to sit for a few minutes, enjoy the surroundings, and just take in the peaceful atmosphere. Another highlight that completely stole our hearts were the three adorable puppies that live on the property. They greet you excitedly when you arrive and are incredibly friendly. Sometimes they even come knocking on your door looking for attention. As a couple, we found this incredibly charming and it added such a warm and playful vibe to the homestay. Breakfast was another pleasant part of our stay. It is served from 7:30 am to 9:30 am and includes a continental breakfast. The food was fresh and satisfying, and starting the day with breakfast while looking out at the mountain scenery made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is also excellent. The homestay is only about five minutes away from the center of Sa Pa, which makes it easy to explore restaurants and cafes. At the same time, it is just about 100 meters from the entrance to Cat Cat Village, so visiting one of the most famous attractions in the area is incredibly convenient. Overall, our stay at Hmong Cat Cat Homestay was wonderful. For couples looking for a cozy wooden cabin style stay with amazing views, a peaceful atmosphere, cute puppies, and close access to Cat Cat Village and Sa Pa town, this place is a fantastic choice. It felt relaxing, romantic, and uniquely memorable for both of us.

  Great place if your coming for the views this is the place to stay. No a/c but I still loved it, it cooled off nicely at night (I left the window open) beautiful view in the morning with the free instant coffee they gave you in the room. As a big hiker the uphill walk to everything wasn't a big deal but could be of your not in the best shape but grabs are very cheap too 4 CAD to get to town.

  It took about 50k by taxi from the central market to get there. The view from the room was nice. There were costume rental shops and cafes in the surrounding area. You have to go up a considerable hill to get to the city center. Some rooms don't have fans or air conditioning, so it's tough to stay in the room during the day because it's so hot. Towels, shampoo, and body soap were provided, and there was hot water, so the bathroom was OK. Some rooms have poor drainage, but they dry by morning. There were fleas on the bed, so I couldn't sleep. I was bitten in several places the next morning. Some rooms have toilets with poor pump function. Breakfast is included, but it's very basic. I waited about an hour for the food to be served after ordering breakfast. The Wi-Fi was too weak to use in some rooms, but it was around 100 Mbps in the lobby.

  This is not meant to be a critism! Just honest feedback. I can imagine this homestay to be great in the summer months, but I don't think it is ideal in winter when it is colder! The bungalow was freezing cold with 1 heater which didn't really do anything! We asked for another and extra quilts which they did provide which was better and did appreciate it! But it was still freezing and we slept fully clothed! Fortunately we only stayed 2 nights! Breakfast in the morning was open to the elements so had to eat shivering, fully dressed for a hike with hats and gloves! Such a shame as IAM sure it is very different at the warmer times!

  BAIT AND SWITCH - SCAM ALERT Avoid this place. We booked H'mong Homestay Sapa 2 months in advance, but when we arrived last minute, the owner claimed there was a "water issue." This was clearly a lie as they had other guests staying there at the time. They forced us to transfer to another hotel, Cat Cat Garden, which was a terrible experience. The photos used for H'mong Homestay are heavily edited and do not reflect reality. Their tactic seems to be taking bookings with nice pictures and then dumping guests at lower quality hotels. Save yourself the stress stay in Sapa Town and just visit Cat Cat Village as a day trip.

  I love this homestay in Sa Pa! I was traveling alone and stayed with them for 5 nights, and it's one of the most relaxing experience. This hotel is far from Sa Pa town center maybe 20-30min drive depending on the vehicle, and there are no close by stores that you can buy stuff from, but the owner is really nice to offer or ask what you want for breakfast or will ask one of her nieces/nephews to drive you to the town center if needed. ||Right outside the home is a rice field and every morning you'll get a sea of clouds and every afternoon you'll witness some breathtaking sunsets. The owner offers to cook for your meals for very minimal price so take advantage of it so you can enjoy the place plus the local food. ||Anyway, the room I booked was huge with a balcony facing the rice field so it's amazing. The hot/cold shower was working and they also have laundry service.
