  I made possibly the best decision of my life when bringing my elderly parents on a 14-day tour organized by Cuong from A Kong Travel. Cuong organized everything, from our pickup at the airport in Hanoi, to a cruise at Ha Long Bay, to a 10-day trip through northern Viet Nam, before ending at his homestay in Sa Pa. My two concerns with this trip were (i) keeping my parents rested and happy, so that they wouldn’t overexert themselves and get sick (ii) have all three of us engage with Vietnamese and local ethnic culture. We traveled in a luxury minivan driven by a reliable and safe driver, along with an incredible tour guide named Dung, who explained history and local customs. Staying at small, family-run homestays in remote ethnic villages, we sampled various cuisines and saw some of the most incredible views I’ve seen in the 40+ countries I’ve visited. When we arrived in Sa Pa, Cuong introduced us to his family and invited us to dinner. We ate the best hot pot of my life and drank delicious rice wine. His homestay overlooks the valley and the view from my bedroom was probably the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. In Sa Pa, Cuong organized a scooter trip, where we explored Hmong villages and ate tasty local food. 10/10

  Cuong, our tour guide from A Kong travel was friendly, funny, helpful, and very knowledgeable. He welcomed our whole family and the hospitality was great. I highly recommend visiting Sapa if you want breathtaking views of mountains, misty valleys, cascading rice terraces, easy going hikes plus more Also to experience the Vietnamese diverse ethnic groups. Lots of local markets with local food and arts and crafts. Cuong also gave us a tour of other places in northern Vietnam which are magnificent. I fully recommend A Kong Travel

  The walking tour to experience the golden rice season in the terraced fields in Sa Pa - Vietnam with A Kong Travel is a truly memorable experience.
