We booked a three night four day trek in early February. This was an amazing experience. I just can’t say enough positive things about it. Our guide Su, was the highlight. She took us through trails that were moderately difficult and difficult at times, but always gave us easier options if we were overwhelmed. The trail seemed remote at times not seeing other truckers or tourists for hours at a time. All three of our home stays were beautiful clean was comfortable beds and fantastic food. Getting to learn from our host and from Sue about the Su culture was certainly a highlight. While I’m in Vietnam for three weeks. This is certainly an adventure they will stand out for years to come. Thank you, Su and Sapa Weather for the outstanding experience.

Wow what a fabulous trek today with Mimi. She was so informative, funny heartwarming! Talking about her life from the Hmong tribe, family and customs. We trekked for almost 11 miles, through the most picturesque scenery. Our trek was tailored to our needs and requirements, an ethical company, non touristy route, stops on route, different paths to take! Our trek took us from Sapa town to Ta Van, Lao Cai. If we come back, we would definitely use Sapa Weather Trekking Tour company.

We were lucky to visit SaPa on a glorious week of blue skies and warm weather. As per recommended by our homestay, we decided to do a 1-day trekking tour through Y-Linh-Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. This ended up being probably the most memorable time we had in Vietnam. Our guide was Mai, who gave us a lot of insight on the local way of life and surroundings. The trek was about 11-12km and 6-7 hours long, so bring good walking boots! Lunch in Lao Chai was also delicious. We will always recommend Sapa Weather Trekking Tours to everyone :-)

My partner and I decided to do a 3 day trek and we got Su as our guide. Such a wonderful person! Very talkative but in a very good way. She explained a lot about the local culture and way of life during the hike and took us mostly to non-turistic spots. She even brought us to her home and introduced us to her family, while also getting us a bit drunk on "happy water". We also decided to take the cooking class with Mai, and she was also super nice and taught us to make Pho, spring rolls and Vietnanamese bread the proper local way in an actual Vietnamese kitchen. Then we played a local drinking game, which was also very fun. We even got an herbal bath after the hike! To summarize, this was one of our best experiences in Vietnam and if you like trekking away from the crowds and getting to know the locals, Sapa Weather is the way to do it!

We had an incredibly rewarding experience in Sapa as part of our academic study tour, guided by the amazing duo, Mai and Huong. They curated a thoughtfully planned day for our group of 21 students, filled with meaningful cultural learning and immersive activities. We began with a scenic trek through Ma Tra Village, followed by a visit to Ta Phin Cave, and spent time inside traditional Dao houses, where we observed how local communities live. One of the most memorable parts was the Hmong Batik Art Class, where students learned the intricate process of batik-making hands-on. Mai and Huang came fully prepared — bringing visual aids, photographs, and involving local instructors to help us understand everything from hemp cultivation, traditional attire, belief systems, and day-to-day life of the Hmong and Dao communities. They answered every student’s question patiently and made sure each one felt engaged and included. The lunch provided was delicious, fresh and filling, and overall, the entire experience was seamless, deeply insightful, and perfectly aligned with the educational goals of our trip. We were all super impressed with the effort, care, and cultural sensitivity they brought to the day. Highly recommended for any group looking for a meaningful and respectful cultural exchange in Sapa.

We really enjoyed our two one-day treks with Mai in the October mist. She patiently explained the various route options before we set out each day, provided lots of information along the way, the lunches were delicious, and the transfers back to Sapa were efficiently organised. The walks were tough, but with Mai’s support we got the chance to explore beautiful scenery and understand local culture. Ahead of the trek, Mai responded really quickly and helpfully to all of my queries.

We had a wonderful day trekking up Fansipan mountain with an extremely kind and experienced tour guide. Our guide also had great snacks throughout the trek and a lovely lunch for us at the top. Mai was very easy to work with. We had an incredible experience with Mai and her team.

While only having time for a one day tour to Dragon Mountain and rice field village track, it was a highlight of our time in Vietnam, all thanks to our local guide Su. She was amazing in showing us local plants and fruits while hiking, had local insights and made us feel like home in her village. Overall she was just plain funny and heartwarming. We would always book a tour with her again!
