This hotel is really imaginatively designed, it is a bespoke local cultural boutique venue. The staff are well trained, polite , proffessional and so joyfull, it is amazing. The food is well presented and tastes amazing. The reasonable costs belay the terrific service and views. It has an infinaty pool with spetacular views, the bedroomsare spacious and individually designed. We took a local walking tour with a guide, Shom who was very informative and really interesting, well worth the cost.

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful nights here 10 days ago. Family owned and run, Clay house is beautifully designed and built all around. Our suite, the garden, pool, terraces and reception/dining area are all gorgeous, inviting and spotless. The professional and so-friendly team attended to our every need, and made sure our stay in Sapa was special. They work with a lovely guide (Somh) and give you adive on treks that you should take! Breakfast and dinner are amazing. No need to go into Sapa town, uinless you want to visit their partner spa, which we were very happy we did! Gorgeos with great services. I agonized over this choice after hearing so much about unwarranted 5-star reviews in Vietnam. But Sapa Clay House desrves every bit of praise.

Amenities are great! Superb mountainous view, chef is creative, manager is knowledgable and approachable. Staff are helpful and attentive. The uniqueness about the stay is the three dogs (hotel escorts that are friendly and smart) The only drawback is the impact from the guests staying above our room. We could hear their footsteps and the vibration at some point. Overall, would highly recommend and certainly return.

Simply amazing! I had only one night at the Sapa Clay house, but it went above & beyond expectations. The boutique hotel is so tranquil and aesthetic inside and out. Rooms are gorgeous and so are the surrounding gardens. Manh and the rest of the staff were so friendly, service-minded, helpful, and generous, offering me extra fruit to try and for the journey back to Hanoi. Breakfast & dinner were delicious! I booked a private car to return to Hanoi via the hotel. Since the weather was cold & foggy, Manh suggested a local spa and it was top notch. I hope to return to see those Mountain View’s some day!

We love sapa clay house. The views and styling of the property were lovely and felt much nicer than other places we stayed. The staff are very helpful in booking activities and recommending things to us! Breakfast felt expensive for Vietnam at first, but it’s very worth it as you get to pick 3 breakfast meals and 2 drinks EACH. It kept us full till dinner and as the hotel is slightly on the outskirts of the main town, it was convenient to have breakfast there too. And the owners/employees dogs get to stay and walk around the hotel, they’re adorable and brightened our morning. It was too cold to go in the pool for us (we were there end of March) but it looked amazing. The water temperature in the shower would jump from boiling hot to freezing cold with no in between, but we didn’t mind because everything else about the hotel was great. Not the property’s fault, but just be prepared as locals are very pushy for you to buy things and will follow you around. We did spend a lot of money on activities recommended by the hotel. I would say the private tour through the tea fields was definitely worth it. The village tour was nice but missable and a big walk, and everything else (e.g. lovers waterfall, glass bridge, Fansipan, heavens gate, etc) is definitely doable on your own without a tour guide or private car. A lot of online videos and reviews said it was hard to find “Grab” cars in Sapa which is why we opted for the private tours and private cars, but when we tried we had no issue getting grabs!

A wonderful place to stay, relax and explore the region. Beautifully designed place, with beautiful garden, pool and terraces looking at the gorgeous mountains and rice terraces. comfortable rooms. The attention to details is present in every aspect. Manh and his team (the manager, Nguyen and Quang) are extremely professional and yet warm, friendly and personal. The tours they’ve recommend were the best we did in the area and their guide is excellent. Do not miss dinner - creative and delicious local cuisine using local ingredients and vegetables they grow themselves. We had a great stay!

Location was amazing. Only a short drive to Sapa village and a walk/ drive away from other wonderful sights around the rice paddies. ||Room was luxurious, clean, well-maintained, had a wonderful view of surrounds, noiseless, and such a comfy bed!||Bathroom was spacious, huge shower and great bath tub. Had an indoor/ outdoor feel as the doors there opened completely to the elements. Water pressure was great.| |Amazing views of the terraces at all points of this place. Plenty of viewpoints and seating areas with amazing outlooks. ||Wonderful kitchen, the most artful and considered menu (farm to table) they have their own vege patch that they regularly pick from for all meals. Whole food menu, homemade Vietnamese meals. such kind and happy staff. ||They also have an amazing spa owned by the same people, Tonkin Spa just a short drive away. Incredibly designed interiors, just the the beautiful interiors and furnishing of Sapa Clay house.
